2022 Harley-Davidson Nightster revealed powered by Revolution Max 975T engine

Harley-Davidson has pulled the covers off the 2022 Harley-Davidson Nightster in the Indian market. The brand has revealed that the new Nightster will open up a new chapter in the brand’s Sportster motorcycle story. The American company boasts that the Nightster comes with significant advancement in the department of performance and design, all while remaining an accessible entry point to motorcycling.

2022 Harley-Davidson Nightster – Design Highlights

Harley-Davidson reveals that the Nightster is an all-new motorcycle and an extension of the Sportster. The bike is a combination of a classic Sportster silhouette and the new Revolution Max 975T engine. The new design of the Harley-Davidson Nightster will attract a new generation of riders as well. The Nightster comes with a rounded headlamp with an aerodynamic shroud that also integrates a flyscreen. The shroud also protects the instruments cluster from the weather.

The motorcycle also comes with a sleek and elongated fuel tank along with a scooped single seat. The Nightster also comes with a sleek tail section with chopped fenders and a low-slung 2-into-1 exhaust system. The bike also gets alloy wheels, and the running gear comes with a contemporary black finish. Thanks to the host of modern electronic rider aids and features that the bike offers, the Nightster is likely to be popular among the young-generation riders.

2022 Harley-Davidson Nightster – Powertrain 

Powering the Harley-Davidson Nightster is a Revolution Max 975T engine. The liquid-cooled engine offers 975cc of displacement that produces 90 Hp of power and 95 Nm of torque. The V-Twin engine comes with a 97mm bore x 66mm stroke and a compression ratio of 12:1. The brand reveals that the 60-degree V-Twin engine features a flat torque curve throughout its broad powerband delivering strong acceleration in the mid-range. The brand has optimised the intake velocity stacks as well as the airbox to offer high-performance in the entire engine speed.

To enhance the performance of the Revolution Max 975T, the engine also features dual overhead camshafts and Variable Valve Timing phasing on the intake valves. The engine also features internal balancers to help reduce vibration and hydraulic valve lash adjustment, ensuring quiet operations. The new engine also does not require costly and complicated service procedures. 

2022 Harley-Davidson Nightster – Mechanicals

The 2022 Harley-Davidson Nightster comes with a lightweight chassis mid, foot controls and a low-rise handlebar. The bike also comes with 41mm Showa Dual Bending Valve conventional forks. The rear suspension features dual outboard emulsion-technology shock absorbers. The suspension also comes with coil springs and a threaded collar for pre-load adjustment. 

2022 Harley-Davidson Nightster – Top Features

The Harley-Davidson Nightster comes with features such as Antilock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control System (TCS) and Drag-Torque Slip Control System (DSCS) for safety. Electronic features include Selectable Ride Modes such as – Road Mode, Sport Mode and Rain Mode. The Nightster also comes with a round 4.0-inch-diameter analogue speedometer. The instruments cluster also features an inset multi-function LCD display mounted on the handlebar riser. 

The brand has also revealed that the Nightster will make its debut across all Harley-Davidson dealerships soon in the Indian market.
