Citroen India has launched the 2022 C5 Aircross SUV in India. The French brand recently teased the SUV, and it is finally here. For the new year, the Aircross gets a host of subtle design tweaks, which Citroen claims gives it a more distinguished, modern and dynamic personality.
Back in 2021, the C5 Aircross made its Indian debut. In 2022, the French carmaker also launched the entry-level C3. Further, by launching the updated C5 so soon after its International debut shows Citroen’s commitment to the Indian market.
Citroen has launched the SUV with special introductory pricing of INR 36,67,000 (ex-showroom). It has yet to be discovered how long the introductory prices last.
What’s new on the 2022 Citroen C5 Aircross?
On the outside, the 2022 C5 Aircross gets a new front styling that accentuates its robust character. It comes with a new LED DRL that creates a 3D effect using ‘piano key’ details. The SUV also gets new LED Vision headlights, which extend the gloss black grille. The logo now comes with gloss black chevrons. The Air intakes have been made sharper, and the side scoops add heft to the car’s width visually. The C5 rides on 18-inch diamond-cut wheels and gets gloss black ORVMs, and functional roof bars. At the back, the taillights are revised, and it now gets 3D LED signature lights.
On the inside, the car gets new seats, a new 10-inch floating touchscreen display, revised position of the middle AC vents, and the 12.3-inch digital display now gets three customisable screens – Minimum, Dials and Personal. Other features include a new elegant and hi-tech e-Toggle gear selector, a new driving mode selection button, which also incorporates the Grip Control function and more. Other interior highlights include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone FATC, keyless entry and start, wireless charger and more.

Powertrain of the 2022 Citroen C5 Aircross
The SUV comes with the same 1,997cc four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. It is paired with an 8-speed gearbox. The motor has a peak power of 177 PS @ 3,750 rpm and 400 Nm of max torque @ 2,000 rpm. Citroen claims the C5 Aircross gives an ARAI claimed fuel efficiency of 17.5 kmpl.
Availability of the 2022 Citroen C5 Aircross
The 2022 C5 Aircross will be available at 20 La Maison Citroen Phygital showrooms in 19 cities. In addition, the 2022 C5 Air Cross will also be available to buy online in over 90 cities outside the dealer network.
