BMW has launched the 2022 new X4 SUV in the Indian market expanding the brand’s Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) segment. The brand reveals that the new X4 SUV comes with striking design elements, added equipment and attractive features. BMW has announced that the new X4 will be locally produced at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai and will be available in diesel and petrol variants at all BMW dealerships across India from today onwards. In addition to this, BMW is offering the new X4 only in an exclusive ‘Black Shadow’ edition and in limited numbers only.
2022 BMW X4 SUV – Price, Variants and Colour
The BMW X4 SUV is available in the BMW X4 xDrive30i variant with a price tag of INR 70,50,000 ex-showroom. The SUV is also available with a diesel powertrain in the BMW X4 xDrive30d variant priced at INR 72,50,000 ex-showroom. The new BMW X4 Black Shadow edition is available in the Black Sapphire and M Brooklyn Grey metallic paintworks. On the inside, the car comes with Leather Vernasca upholstery with ‘Black’ decor stitching. The brand also offers M interior trim which features Aluminum Rhombicle dark with highlight trim finisher in Pearl Chrome as standard.

The BMW X4 SUV comes with features such as adaptive LED headlights with Matrix function and LED taillights as standard. As an option, the brand is offering BMW Laser Light headlights. On the inside, the car features a 10.25-inch display with BMW Operating System 7 as standard. The car also gets a 12.3-inch high-resolution instrument cluster, BMW Maps, smartphone connectivity, Intelligent Personal Assistant, remote Software Upgrade updates “over-the-air” and Driving Assistant Professional.

2022 BMW X4 SUV – Engine Specifications
Powering the X4 is a 2.0-litre petrol BMW TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engine. The engine produces 252 Hp of power and 350 Nm of torque. The second option is a 3.0-litre diesel BMW TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder engine. The oil motor produces 265 Hp of power and 620 Nm of torque. Both engines come matched to an 8-Speed Steptronic Sport Automatic Transmission with gearshift paddles on the steering wheel. The SUV also comes with xDrive – intelligent 4WD with variable torque distribution. Also on offer is the Hill Descent Control and Hill Start Assist functions.
