Audi has teased the 2022 Audi RS3 in a display of the brand’s product range. Audi Sport GmbH reported that the brand had delivered more than 29,300 vehicles to customers. This is a new record for the high-performance car maker. In the Audi Sport range, the brand features 15 R and RS models. In addition, the range also consists of RS e-Tron GT.
2022 Audi RS3 Design Highlights
The 2022 Audi RS3 came with RS-branded camouflage wraps, but we can still decode a few car details. The sporty model will come with a unique mesh grille on the aggressive front fascia. The RS model also features aggressive air intakes that flank the front bumper. These aerodynamic elements are likely to ensure abundant airflow to cool braking components and reduce the vehicle’s aerodynamic drag. The sides of the RS3 features aerodynamic side skirts and a lightweight alloy wheel. The car will also have a ventilated rear bumper with a subtle diffuser, a chunky dual exhaust system and a small spoiler.
2022 Audi RS3 – Engine Specifications and Performance
While Audi did not reveal the engine and performance details of the RS3, but we speculate that the car will come with the same 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine that does duty on the RSQ3. The engine pumps out 400 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque. The engine features a 7-speed S-Tronic transmission and a Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The powertrain can push the RS3 to a top speed of 250 km/h, and the car will be able to sprint from 0-100 km/h in about 4.5 seconds.
ASs of now, the brand is tight-lipped about the launch date of the RS3. The brand only revealed that the RS3 would make its market debut in North America by 2022. Currently, there is no news if Audi will bring the RS3 to the Indian market. However, rumours are that Audi is planning to launch the Audi A3 and Audi Q3 in 2022.
