2021 Yamaha NMAX 125 scooter revealed with Bluetooth connectivity

Yamaha has revealed the 2021 NMAX 125 maxi-scooter in the European market. The refreshed model from the Japanese manufacturer not only gains new styling and a cleaner Euro5 spec engine but also Bluetooth connectivity features. The 2021 Yamaha NMAX 125 is expected to arrive at dealerships by February of 2021 and the pricing is yet to be announced. 

The Yamaha NMAX 125 is powered by a Euro5-spec 125cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled, four-stroke four-valve SOHC fuel-injected motor that produces 12.2 PS of power and 11.2 Nm of torque matched to a V-belt automatic gearbox. The 2021 NMAX 125 features an all-new chassis that offers improved manoeuvrability in the urban environment making the maxi-scooter more comfortable. The NMAX 125 rides on telescopic front fork suspension with 100mm of travel, a unit swing twin shock absorbers on the rear and all-round disc brakes as well as 13-inch alloy wheels on both the front and rear shod in 110/70 front and 130/70 rear tyre. 

The 2021 Yamaha NMAX 125 features a large and imposing front apron with sleek headlamps, side body-mounted turn indicators, a body integrated flyscreen to reduce the windblast as well as reduces the wind noise, twin-split LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights, LED combination lamps on the rear. For 2021, the maxi-scooter also features a large LCD instruments console integrated with new Simple Communication Control Unit (SCCU) that pairs with the user’s smartphone via Bluetooth and offers access to important information such as technical and running data as well as last known location. The NMAX 125 also gets Smart Key keyless ignition, automatic start/stop, traction control, front glove box, power socket and large under-seat storage. 

The 2021 Yamaha NMAX 125 will be available in Anodized Red, Phantom Blue, and Power Grey colour option. The 2021 Yamaha NMAX directly competes with the just-revealed updated 2021 Honda PCX125 that also features a new updated design, a Euro5 compliant powertrain, a new frame and suspension, improved electronics and some extra storage.
