Written by Nizam Shaikh

Since its inception in 2010, the Dacia Duster has been one of the best sellers in the European markets. In 2017, Dacia also launched an all-new Duster model, which is also marketed under the Renault brand in India. But the Indian market did not get the new-generation model. So now, Dacia has further introduced the facelift of the Dacia Duster in Europe.

The new 2021 Duster comes with changes to the exteriors, new additions to the interiors, updates to the powertrain, improved CO2 efficiency, and the same robustness, comfort, and value-for-money.

2021 Dacia Duster – Exterior Updates

On the outside, the Dacia Duster features a new Desert Orange paint theme and contemporary changes. In addition, the brand has added to its aesthetics and improved the aerodynamic performance, offering greater efficiency. On the front, the facelift model comes with new styling drawn from the Dacia Sandero and Sandero Stepway.

The SUV comes with a new 3D chromed radiator grille and new LED headlamps with Y-shaped daytime running lights. The 2021 Duster also gets LED turn indicators which is a first on any Dacia model. The always-on lights feature on both the front and the rear of the vehicle. In addition, the new Duster comes with a new spoiler and new 16 and 17-inch alloy rims tested in a wind tunnel. Furthermore, the brand claims that the use of LED lighting, newly developed tyres and wheel bearings reduce up to 5.8g of CO2 on the 4×4 version of the SUV.

2021 Dacia Duster – Interior Updates

On the inside, the 2021 Duster comes with a larger 8-inch infotainment screen. The car also features an automatic climate control with a digital display and heated front seats. The Duster also gets new upholstery, new headrests, and a high centre console. The SUV also features a 4×4 Monitor with an altimeter, inclinometer, and compass information.

2021 Dacia Duster – Engine Specifications

The brand has completely renewed the powertrains on the entire range. The brand now also employs a new six-speed automatic EDC (Efficient Dual Clutch) gearbox on the TCe 150 engine. The engine line-up includes:

  • 1.5-litre diesel engine with 115 PS output.
  • 1.0-litre petrol engine with 90 PS output.
  • 1.3-litre petrol with 130 PS and 150 PS outputs.
