High-performance luxury car manufacturer Porsche launched the 2021 Porsche Panamera in the Indian market today starting at INR 1.45 Crore ex-showroom, India. There are four variants of the 2021 Porsche Panamera – the Panamera standard, the Panamera GTS, Panamera Turbo S and the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. The performance saloon recently celebrated its ten years and the brand is also offering a few units of the exclusive Panamera 4 – ‘10 Years Edition’, available for interested patrons at select Porsche dealerships.
The 2021 Porsche Panamera is powered by a 2.9-litre V6-cylinder bi-turbo petrol motor that delivers 330 PS of power and 450 Nm of torque with a rear-wheel drivetrain. In the GTS trim the Panamera features a V8 bi-turbo engine that belts out 480 PS of power and 620 Nm of torque which is 20 PS more than its predecessor. The Panamera GTS also features a new darkened Exclusive Design tail light cluster as standard.
The Panamera Turbo S is powered by a 4.0-litre, bi-turbo V8 that produces 630 PS of power that enables the sports limousine to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 3.1 seconds and achieve a claimed top speed of 315 kmph. The petrol motor on the Turbo S E-Hybrid is a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 unit that makes 571 PS of power but thanks to the 136 PS electric motor the Turbo S E-Hybrid has the most powerful engine in the line-up and puts out an overall output of 700 PS. The Turbo S E-Hybrid also comes with an all-electric range of 59 km (NEDC) in the full electric mode which is 30% more than the predecessor thanks to a new 17.9 kWh battery and the electric motor integration into its eight-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission.
In terms of design, the new models follow the previously optional Sport Design front end with new side extractors for improved thermodynamics, large air intakes on the front, a seamless light strip over the luggage compartment and joins the two newly designed LED tail light clusters. The new Panamera also features Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (PDCC) and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) as optional features.
Deliveries of the 2021 Porsche Panamera have also commenced in the Indian market.
