MG recently expanded the Gloster SUV with a 7-seater option on the Savvy trim. Now the brand has expanded the 2021 Hector variant by introducing the new Shine trim. The Shine trim is positioned above the Super variant and below the Smart trim in the Hector line-up. This enables the brand to position the Shine variant in the middle of the pack. This also allows the brand to offer both manual and automatic powertrains as well as petrol and diesel fuel options.
MG Hector Shine Trim – Price and Sub-Variants
The MG Hector Shine variant will be available with the starting price of INR 14,51,800 ex-showroom. The SUV is available in the petrol manual transmission version. For the CVT automatic gearbox, the ex-showroom price is set to INR 15,71,800. While the diesel manual option comes with a price tag of INR 16,49,800 ex-showroom. The brand is also offering an all-new Havana Grey colour option with the Shine variant.

The MG Hector Shine comes with a smart entry and push-button start. The SUV also gets an electric sunroof and electronic parking brake. The Hector Shine comes with the same dashboard layout and a vertically oriented touchscreen infotainment system. The brand also offers a host of other options on the MG Hector Shine which includes LED DRLs, LED combination tail lamps, bumper appliques in chrome, a shark fin antenna etc. The SUV also features single tone silver finish alloy wheels and premium dual-tone fabric upholstery.
MG Hector Shine Trim – Engine Specifications
Powering the MG Hector Shine is a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. The gasoline motor produces 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic. The brand also offers the MG Hector Shine with a diesel engine option. Powering the diesel variant is a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine. The oil motor produces 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. The diesel engine comes with a 6-speed manual transmission.
