2021 Kia Carnival will get new Limousine variant

Kia recently launched the Kia Seltos and Sonet SUVs with the new brand logo and mild feature updates. Now the brand is planning to update its premium MPV in the Indian market, the Kia Carnival. While Kia updated the Carnival to the fourth generation in the international market. The model sold in the Indian market is still in its old generation avatar. The premium MPV is brought to the country via the CKD ( Completely Knocked Down) route, assembled at the Anantapur production plant.

Kia Carnival Updates

According to sources, the new Kia Carnival will come with the new stylised KIA badge, and the brand will also add a new variant to the line-up. Kia will reportedly add a new Limousine trim to the existing portfolio. It is important to note, that the Carnival already retails with three trims on offer. The top-spec of which is the Limousine trim. But leaked documents suggest that the existing Limousine trim will become Limousine+ and a new Limousine variant will slot in between the mid-spec Prestige and top-of-the-line Limousine+.

Kia Carnival Limousine Trim Features

The new Limousine trim will likely come with features such as captain seats with premium leather and a rear-seat entertainment system. The variant is also likely to come with a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UVO connected car technology, air purifier and a new digital IRVM. The top-spec Limousine+ is also likely to come with a new alloy wheel design and updates to the leather upholstery.

Kia Carnival Engine Specifications

Powering the Kia Carnival is a BS6 compliant 2.2-litre CRDi diesel engine. The engine produces 200 PS of power and 440 Nm of torque. The oil motor comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a two-wheel drivetrain.

Kia Carnival Limousine Bookings and Launch Timeline

Reports suggest that Kia will open bookings on the new Limousine trim sometime this year. The brand is likely to launch the new Kia Carnival variant in mid-September, and prices on the trim will be announced as soon as the sales begin.
