Just a few months ago, South Korean brand Kia introduced the Carnival luxury MPV which is also market as the Kia Sedona in select international markets. Now in its 4th generation the new Kia Carnival a new radically improved design inside out, plus the MPV also receives upgrades to its powertrain. The brand has now introduced a high-spec version of the 4th generation Kia Carnival in the South Korean market called the Kia Carnival Hi Limousine.
The new Hi Limousine trim offers an upmarket theme to the already grand MPV. In terms of the changes in the design, the Hi Limousine model features a higher roof which almost appears like a roof box, new step boards, an auxiliary roof-mounted brake light, Hi Limousine badging etc. On the inside, the 2021 Kia Carnival Hi Limousine comes with a customisable cabin featuring a 21.5-inch monitor as standard, seating for seven people with captain seats in the second row, a new LED package with LED reading lights, seatback mounted built-in air purifier, pleated privacy curtains and hot & cold cupholders and of course a high roof that offers high headroom.
The 2021 Kia Carnival Hi Limousine also comes with updated ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) that offers semi-autonomous Level 2 driving system featuring Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) that can detect a car, pedestrian or cyclist, Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), High Beam Assist (HBA), Lane Following Assist (LFA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM), Safe Exit Assistance (SEA), Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA), Smart Cruise Control (SCC) or Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC), Highway Driving Assist (HDA) and Surround View Monitor (SVM).
The 2021 Kia Carnival Hi Limousine is powered by a 3.5-litre GDi (petrol direct injection) V6 that produces 294 PS of power and 355 Nm torque mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Kia Carnival Hi Limousine is priced at KRW 60,660,000 which roughly converts to USD 54,750 and INR 40.81 lakhs. As of now, the Carnival Hi Limousine is only available in the South Korean market.
