Kawasaki has revealed the new 2021 line-up of motorcycles and also announced that the 2021 Kawasaki Versys 1000 LT SE+ will come with new features including the latest Skyhook suspension from Showa. The Adventure Tourer in 2021 will receive an updated KECS (Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension) incorporated with Showa’s Skyhook EERA (Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment) technology. The brand has also announced that Kawasaki engineers have carefully fine-tuned the Showa Skyhook suspension to preserve the ADV’s sporty riding character.

The new suspension setup will allow the Versys 1000 SE LT+ to continuously adapt to the road surface in real-time and reduces pitching under braking especially when riding with a pillion. The steering also remains light when riding on the highway keeping the motorcycle planted enhancing the grip especially in wet conditions, increasing rider confidence. Other features in its elaborate electronics package include – all-LED lighting including cornering lights, Integrated Riding Modes, Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS), multi-function TFT colour LCD screen, Smartphone Connectivity via Rideology App, Electronic Cruise Control and heated grips.

The 2021 Kawasaki Versys 1000 SE LT+ is powered by a 1043cc liquid-cooled in-line four-cylinder 4-stroke, 4-valve per cylinder DOHC fuel-injected engine producing around 120 PS of power and 102 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed return type transmission with a wet multi-plate assist & slipper clutch. The Kawasaki Versys 1000 features an aluminium twin-tube chassis that rides on 43 mm upside-down front forks with rebound damping and spring preload adjustability that provides 150 mm of wheel travel. The rear suspension features a horizontal back-link, gas-charged monoshock with rebound damping and remote spring preload adjustability with 152 mm of wheel travel. Stopping power comes from dual semi-floating 310mm petal disc brakes with horizontally-opposed radially mounted 4-piston monobloc callipers on the front and a single 250mm petal disc with a single-piston hydraulically operated calliper on the rear armed with KIBS (Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System).

The 2021 Kawasaki Versys 1000 LT SE+ will be offered in three colour options – Pearl Storm Gray, Metallic Diablo Black and Metallic Flat Spark Black. In the North American market, the 2021 Versys 1000 LT SE+ will be priced at USD 18,199 MSRP.
