2021 Jawa 42 gets more power, launched at INR 1.84 lakh

Classic Legends has launched the new Jawa Forty-Two in the new Jawa 2.1 avatar adding to the retro-classic range of Forty-Two motorcycle now available for booking at all Jawa Dealerships across the country priced at INR 1,83,942 ex-showroom, Delhi. The new 2021 Jawa Forty-Two comes with an added ‘Classic Sports’ to the already Retro Cool motorcycle design. The brand is also calling the new Forty-Two 2.1. The new Jawa 2.1 comes with added equipment, three new paint themes, refined engine and newly tuned cross-port technology that put out slightly more power than the standard.

Design & Styling

The 2021 Jawa Forty-Two comes with Orion Red, Sirius White and AllStar Black paint options. The new paint theme also features a grey classic sports stripe that runs across the length of the motorcycle to give it a sportier look. The Classic Sports theme also makes the motorcycle appear fast even when stationary.

Features

The 2021 Jawa Forty-Two features a rounded headlamp with an X-shaped grille on the glass and a small flyscreen as an additional fitment. But even as standard the new Jawa Forty-Two comes with Cafe Racer style bar-end mirrors, alloy wheels, tubeless tyres and a trip meter. The motorcycle also comes with new 13-spoke alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres, a redesigned seat pan and cushioning, re-tuned suspension & frame set-up offering better ground clearance and superior handling characteristics. 

Powertrain

Powering the new Jawa Forty-Two is a new re-tuned BS6 compliant 293cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, DOHC engine with liquid-cooling, improved electronic fuel injection system and newly improved cross-port technology producing 27.33 PS of power and 27.02 Nm of torque slightly more than the standard. The new motor comes with a constant-mesh 6-speed gearbox. The engine also features a repositioned lambda sensor to keep the engine’s performance consistent and deliver cleaner emissions regardless of road conditions.

Customisation

Classic Legends will also provide a range of optional accessories on the Jawa motorcycles. For example, the alloy wheels that come as standard on the new Forty-Two can be purchased from Jawa dealerships and installed on other Jawa motorcycles. Similarly, the brand will have a range of accessories such as saddlebags, saddle stays etc for the range of Jawa motorcycles.
