2021 Hyundai Alcazar SUV Review

Recently Hyundai launched a new three-row SUV, Alcazar, in the Indian market. The Hyundai Alcazar might be based on the popular Hyundai Creta SUV but comes with loads of differentiating factors. For starters, the Alcazar is longer than the Creta in terms of both the overall length and the wheelbase. The Alcazar also comes with a newly designed roof and a completely new haunch. 

We got to experience the new Alcazar during the national media drive, and in the above videos, we tell you more about the three-row SUV to make an informed buying decision. 

2021 Hyundai Alcazar – Variants 

The Hyundai Alcazar comes in three prime variants. Hyundai offers the Style variant as the entry-level trim. The Prestige trim in the mid-level and the top-of-the-line Signature trim. Hyundai offers both petrol and diesel engines on the Alcazar along with both manual and automatic transmission. Also on offer are seating options, including a premium 6-seat (2+2+2) with captain seats in the middle row and a much practical 7-seat variant with (2+3+2) layout. 

2021 Hyundai Alcazar – Price

The Hyundai Alcazar starts from INR 16.30 lakh ex-showroom, India, and goes up to INR 19.99 lakh ex-showroom. It is important to note that all the prices on the Hyundai Alcazar are currently introductory and may become dearer in the near future. 

2021 Hyundai Alcazar – Colours

The Hyundai Alcazar comes with Phantom Black, Polar White, Titan Grey, Starry Night, Typhoon Silver and Taiga Brown exterior colour options. The SUV also features quirky dual-tone alloy wheels with five-spoke black painted arms and twin-machine finish branches. The brand also offers a generous amount of chrome all around the SUV, along with dark chrome accents and silver finishes to accentuate the design. The Alcazar also comes with a Premium Dual Tone Cognac Brown theme.

2021 Hyundai Alcazar – Features

The Alcazar is a feature-rich SUV and comes with Triple-LED projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights and LED combination taillamps with a honeycomb insert. The Alcazar also features roof rails, silver skid plates and a chequered footboard for easy ingress and egress. Hyundai also offers One Touch Tip and Tumble second-row seats to ease the entry and exit in the third-row. 

On the inside, the Alcazar features 10.25-inch Multi-Display Digital Cluster instruments and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The infotainment system features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Advanced Hyundai Blue Link connected car features. The car also comes with 8-speaker Bose Premium Sound System, depending on the model. 

Other features include ventilated, driver and passenger seats, 8-way power-adjustable driver seat, single-zone climate control with blower adjustment for the third-row, Auto Healthy Air Purifier with AQI Display, Voice-Enabled Smart Panoramic Sunroof, seatback tables with tablet holder, the centre armrest in the second row with wireless smartphone charging, another wireless charging pad for front-row occupants and a lot more.

2021 Hyundai Alcazar – Engine Specifications

The Hyundai Alcazar is available with a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 159 PS of power and 191 Nm of torque. The SUV is also available with a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine with 115 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. Both engines come with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options. Additionally, the Alcazar also comes with three Drive Modes – Comfort, Eco, Sport and three Traction Control Modes – Snow, Sand, Mud.

The SUV features a 75.6 % Advanced and High-Strength Steel (AHSS & HSS) body, 6 Airbags, Blind View Monitor, 360-degree view monitor, Front & Rear Parking Sensors, and a lot more.
