Hyundai launched a new three-row SUV in the Indian market today. The Hyundai Alcazar comes with segment-defining features starting at INR 16.30 lakh ex-showroom. The brand also offers six exterior colour options – Polar White, Phantom Black, Starry Night, Titan Grey, Taiga Brown, and Typhoon Silver. Also, there are two engine options in both petrol and diesel engine and two gearbox options in both manual and automatic options.

Hyundai Alcazar – Design & Styling

The Hyundai Alcazar is based on the Creta SUV but comes with a 150mm longer wheelbase. The 2,760mm wheelbase of the Alcazar allows for roomier interiors even with three rows. Additionally, the Alcazar will also get 180-litres of boot space even with all three rows. The Hyundai Alcazar features a new front grille, but the headlamps are similar to the Creta SUV. But the rear end of the SUV differentiates itself with new taillamp clusters and chrome embellishments on the new tailgate.

Hyundai Alcazar – Powertrain

The Hyundai Alcazar comes with two powertrain options – a BS6 compliant naturally-aspirated 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine. The petrol engine produces 159 PS of power and 191 Nm of torque. For diesel aficionados, Hyundai also offers a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine. The oil motor produces 115 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. Both the engines come with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox. The Hyundai Alcazar also features an optimised Final Gear Ratio (FGR), a triple cone synchro and TGS (Transmission Gear Shift) lever stopper. This aids in smoother shifting and easy cruising on the highways.
