2021 Honda Gold Wing Coming Soon to India

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Honda will soon launch the Goldwing, the premium tourer motorcycle here in India. The bike, which got its update in 2021, is one of the most advanced tourer motorcycles in the segment. Goldwing has its history dating way back to 1975 when it was launched as GL1000. In the overseas market, the 2021 updated Goldwing is racking up a lot of sales. Here, in India, it might not get the same reception as in the overseas market, but we were pretty sure the niche touring fans will love it. The Goldwing will go on sale via Honda’s premium BigWing showroom outlets here in India.

Changes Made In 2021 Update

From the exterior looks, the overall styling remains pretty much the same. But Honda claims that they have upgraded a few of the necessary equipment. Firstly, the audio system is a new one. The ‘Tour’ variant gets more storage along with a more relaxed backrest angle. Honda also claims that the seats of the new Goldwing provide more comfort. This is due to the fact that the seats get a suede/synthetic leather mix material. Other key features of the motorcycle include full LED lighting, smartphone connectivity, a 7-inch TFT display, and more. The bike also gets Android Auto compatibility, thus enabling a host of other features. There are some changes to the exteriors in the form of graphics.

Honda Gold Wing – Engine and Powertrain Options

Honda uses a 1,833cc liquid-cooled six-pot engine that churns out 125 HP of power and 170 Nm of torque. The motorcycle will have both manual and automatic transmission options. The manual version features a 6-speed unit, while the automatic is a 7-speed DCT. The bike also comes with four driving modes, Sport, Rain, Econ, and Tour. In the overseas market, Honda sells the Goldwing in five trims. The colour options are also based on the trims, and customers have the options to choose from Deep Pearl Gray, Candy Ardent Red, and Metallic Black as paint options.
