2021 Honda CBR150R revealed, will not come to India

Honda has introduced the new entry-level supersport in the Indonesian market, the 2021 Honda CBR150R. In the recent past, Big Red had introduced the updated version of the CBR150R in the Thailand market but apart from sharp looks, the Indonesian-spec motorcycle offers a lot more equipment as well. The 2021 Honda CBR150R is priced starting at IDR 35,900,000 which roughly translates to INR 1.87 lakhs.

The 2021 Honda CBR150R features sharp styling with twin-split LED headlamps, eyebrow LED daytime running lights, an aerodynamic nose fairing, clear windscreen, front apron mounted rearview mirrors, chiselled fuel tank, angular side fairings, a sharp tail end with LED tail lamps, step up seats, clip-on handlebars and an upswept exhaust. The brand is offering the CBR150R in five colour options – Victory Black Red, Honda Racing Red, Dominator Matte Black, Matte Black and Repsol MotoGP Edition.

The 2021 Honda CBR150R is powered by a 149.16cc water-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke four-valve DOHC motor with Programmed Fuel Injection that helps generate 17.1 PS of power and 14.4 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch. The CBR150R uses a diamond truss frame that rides on inverted telescopic front fork suspension sourced from Showa. The rear end gets a monoshock mounted to the swingarm via a Pro-Link type mechanism. The CBR150R also features petal disc brakes on both the front and rear with the option of ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) as well as 17-inch alloy wheels shod in 100/80 front and 130/70 rear tyres.

Honda in Indonesia also offers a range of genuine accessories for the CBR150R which includes a fender eliminator, engine crankcase protector, rear seat cowl, radiator guard, fuel-lid pad and a tank pad. Along with accessories the brand also offered branded apparels such as riding helmet, jacket, gloves and a t-shirt.

While Honda discontinued the CBR150R in the Indian market, the 2021 model is not likely to arrive anytime soon either.
