In addition to this, the All-New Gurkha also gets new interiors, a higher strength C-in-C chassis, a new suspension setup in form of coil spring and more. The overall exterior outlook remains the same and resembles the Mercedes G-Wagon in many ways.

All New Gurkha 2021 – Details

One of the distinctive new changes in the 2021 model is the logo on the front grille. Now, the SUV gets a new Gurkha brand logo, replacing the earlier Force Motors branding. This helps in creating a more imposing character for the SUV. Other highlights include full LED Force Pro Edge headlamps neatly integrated with broken circle DRLs. The indicators on the fender help in improving the night visibility to a great extent. Gurkha is the only vehicle in its segment to get a full metal top in terms of safety. All three passenger seats get ISOFIX compatible. ABS and EBD are now standard across all the trims as mandated by the Indian Government.

Powertrain And Mechanicals

The All-New Gurkha uses a Mercedes-Benz sourced 2.6-litre direct injection turbocharged diesel engine. The power output from the engine is 91 BHP; meanwhile, the torque output is 250 Nm. This makes the engine capable enough to climb slopes of 35 degrees and wade through streams of 700mm depth.

The gearbox is also sourced from Mercedes, and thus it gets the G-28 5-speed unit that is operated via a cable shift and hydraulically actuated clutch. To ensure the best manoeuvrability, the Gurkha has a turning radius of 5.65m. Customers will have no hassle of topping up with Ad-Blue, as the SUV is using Lean NOX to comply with the BS-6 norms.

Off-Road Kit

This four-seater SUV offers the roomiest cabin in its class, as claimed by Force Motors. The boot space of 500 litres is entirely usable even for long weekend trips. The offroading features include an air intake snorkel and manual operated mechanical differential locks on both the front and rear axles. This enhances the off-road capability of the SUV to a great extent and makes it equally capable for city and daily commutes as well.

Interiors

For the convenience of the driver and occupants, Gurkha gets a host of features. This includes a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Other highlighting features include, steering column with tilt and telescopic adjustment, power windows, central locking, cornering lamps, speed-sensing door locks, single-piece rear door with wipers, tyre pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors, lead me home, lead me to Gurkha and variable intermittent speed front wipers.

Warranty, Price And Colours

Force is offering the new Gurkha in five colours – red, orange, green, grey, and white. To ensure a hassle-free and trouble-free ownership experience, Force Motors is offering the Gurkha a 1.5 lakh or 3 years warranty period. The company has mentioned that they will release the price on 27th September. The first batch of customers will receive their product on Dussehra day.
