2021 Porsche Panamera facelift revealed, MORE POWER

Porsche has finally revealed the 2021 facelift model of the Porsche Panamera. The Porsche Panamera is in its second generation and this facelift is the midlife refresh for the Panamera that comes with mild styling changes and some key additions such a more powerful 630 Hp Turbo variant and a cleaner a4S e-Hybrid variant. 

In terms of design and styling, the 2021 facelift Panamera features subtle changes on the outside such as a new front ‘Sport Design’ front apron, refreshed air intake design, tweaked LED taillights, a new rear diffuser and circular exhaust tips in favour of the squared ones. The brand has also added a few more shades to the exterior paint options and customers can choose from 20/21 inch alloy wheels offered in 10 designs. 

On the interior, the 2021 facelift Porsche Panamera retains the cabin design and the dashboard layout but gets more features and improvements on the infotainment system and standard equipment such as LED matrix headlights including PDLS Plus, night vision assists, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist with road sign recognition, a 360-degree camera and a heads-up display. 

But most of the changes that have been made to the 2021 Panamera is under the hood. The sports sedan now comes with a more powerful 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 that generates 630 Hp of power and 820 Nm of torque which is 80 Hp and 50 Nm more than the predecessor Turbo S. In the recent past, the new Panamera Turbo S lapped the coveted Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7:29.81 minutes, a distance of over 20.832 kilometres and has made a new record in the “executive cars” category making an official ranking at the Nürburgring GmbH.

The Panamera GTS also comes with a more powerful 4.0-litre V8 that now makes 480 Hp and 620 Nm, 20 Hp more than the pre-facelift Panamera GTS. The brand has also added the Panamera 4S e-Hybrid to the portfolio which is powered by a 2.9-litre V6 hybrid engine that produces a combined output of 560 Hp of power and 750 Nm of torque and comes with an electric range of 54 km on the WLTP cycle. 

The Porsche Panamera continues to be offered in three body styles – Standard, Executive (long wheelbase) and Sport Turismo (estate) same like the pre-facelift model. The 2021 Porsche Panamera facelift is expected to be launched sometime in 2021 in the Indian market with prices starting from around the INR 1.5 crore mark.
