Kawasaki has launched the Model Year 2021 BS6 emissions-compliant Kawasaki Ninja 650 in a new colour option called the Lime Green. The brand in the recent pst launched the BS6 2021 model in Lime Green / Ebony and Pearl Flat Stardust White colour options. The pricing on the new Lime Green colour option remains unchanged and the sports touring motorcycle is still priced at INR 6.24 lakh ex-showroom.
The new Lime Green option comes with new body graphics on the fairings and the motorcycle is in a combination of Green, Ebony and White with Red stripes that run across the length from the tail cowling to the side fairing and the underbelly. The graphic designs are also present on the nose fairing of the Ninja 650, around the windscreen area.
In terms of design, the 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 650 remains unchanged featuring the latest generation Ninja family design language that draws inspiration from the ZX-6R. The 2021 model features new split type twin LED headlamp units that sit between the longer nose, a new nose applique that integrates the windscreen that appears taller than the predecessor, split seats with a high mounted tail and a new 4.3-inch digital TFT colour instrumentation with Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, GPS data logging and ‘Rideology The App’ integration.
The 2021 Ninja 650 is powered by a BS6 emission compliant 649cc parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled 4-stroke, 8-valve DOHC dual throttle valve fuel-injected engine that produces 68 PS of power and 64 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed return-type transmission. The BS6 compliant motor comes with the same displacement as before but achieves BS6 conformity through changes in the catalytic converter system and a new air inlet.
In terms of mechanical parts, the 2021 Ninja 650 features high-tensile steel trellis frame that rides on 41mm conventional hydraulic telescopic front fork suspension with 125mm of travel, horizontal back-link suspension with adjustable preload that allows 130mm of the wheel travel, dual semi-floating 300mm petal discs on the front and a single petal disc on the rear with dual 2-piston hydraulic callipers on the front and a single-piston hydraulic calliper on the rear.
Kawasaki has commenced bookings for the 2021 BS6 Ninja 650 through both their physical and digital sales channels.
