Audi has commenced the production of the new Audi A4 at the SAVWIPL (SKODA Auto Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd) plant in Aurangabad, India and the brand also revealed that the new Audi A4 will be launched in the Indian market in early 2021. With the production of the new Audi A4, the Volkswagen Group’s production facility has also rolled out its first A4 which is expected to arrive at showroom’s soon.
Last year Audi gave the A4 sedan a mid-life update and the new facelift model was introduced in the international market. During the update, the German carmaker revamped its exteriors as well as its interiors. The exteriors now match the brand’s latest design theme and feature the hallmark single-frame grille with horizontal chrome slats, sleek headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, trapezoidal fog lamp area with rounded foglights, a sharp air dam with a splitter effect, satin chrome inserts flanking the lower bumper, raised bonnet lines and muscular wheel arches. The rear os the sedan features LED combination lamps that reverberate with the front in terms of its design, chrome exhaust tips and black lower bumper applique.
On the inside, the Audi A4 facelift is expected features a 12.3-inch digital instrument console with an optional Heads-Up Display, a new 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Audi Multi-Media Interface along with a voice assistant, leatherette upholstery, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, wireless smartphone charging etc.
While the brand has not revealed any powertrain details, the Audi A4 is expected to come with a new BS6 emission-compliant 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine featuring a 12V mild-hybrid system that could make 150 Hp of power. The powertrain is expected to come with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
The brand has not revealed the date of the market launch, but expect the Audi A4 to make it to the nearest showroom by the end of January 2021.
