The favourite child for TVS here in India, the Apache RTR 200 4V has just received a mega update. The streetfighter motorcycle now gets new tech in the BS6 era which makes it superior over its competition and a more advanced product than many bikes priced higher as well. The 2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V now comes with 3 riding modes which includes Sport, Urban & Rain. These modes can be toggled using a dedicated switch on the RHS switch gear and also, these modes can be changed on the fly while riding the bike. The next big update is a Showa front suspension which is adjustable for preload. It is still a conventional telescopic fork, but much superior to competition thanks to the adjustment feature. Also, the 2020 model has now received 3-step adjustable brake and clutch levers. The brand has also taken this opportunity to introduce an all-new matte blue share for the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. TVS also mentioned that when riding in rain mode, the ABS is tuned for sharp intervention for a safe ride.

The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V already came with features such as fuel injection, slipper assist clutch, bluetooth connectivity via SmartXConnect, GTT Glide Through Technology, dual-channel and single-channel ABS option, radial rear tyre and front & rear LED lamps.

Powering the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is a 197.75cc, single-cylinder, SI, 4-stroke, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 20.5 PS of power @ 8500 RPM and 16.8 Nm of torque @ 7500 RPM matched to a 5-speed gearbox. It would have been great if the motorcycle came with a 6-speed gearbox to allow for better highway touring. The ECU will control the power and torque delivery depending on the riding mode selected and even the fuel efficiency will vary while riding in urban, rain or sport mode. Even with all the feature additions, the 2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has seen a weight reduction of 1 kg.

The 2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V with all of these new features has been priced at INR 1.31 lakh ex-showroom. There is no other motorcycle at this price offering as much value & features as the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. Apart from the new matte blue shade, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V will remain on sale with the previous gloss black and pearl white paint options as well.
