2020 Skoda Superb facelift launched starting from INR 29.99 lakh

Skoda has launched the 2020 Superb facelift at the price of INR 29.99 lakh ex-showroom, India. The brand has given the Skoda Superb a mid-life upgrade after five years and The new 2020 Skoda Superb does not come with a diesel engine is available only with a single petrol unit and two trim variants – Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K). The top-spec L&K is priced at INR 32.99 lakh ex-showroom, India. 

The 2020 Superb facelift is powered by a larger BS6 emissions-compliant 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine that produces 190 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque coupled to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The Superb was earlier also available earlier with a 1.8-litre TSI petrol engine which used to produce 180 Hp of power and 250 Nm of torque. 

The 2020 facelift Skoda Superb features a similar body design but gets new styling and equipment which includes refreshed front and rear bumpers, a new chrome-accented grille, matrix LED headlight, bumper integrated LED fog lights and cornering lights, LED daytime running lights and turn indicator lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome trim that runs between the LED taillights etc.

On the interior, the 2020 Skoda Superb facelift features an updated 20.32-cm Amundsen touchscreen infotainment system, canton audio system, virtual cockpit digital instruments cluster, cruise control, diffused footwell lighting, ambient lighting, wireless smartphone charging, three-zone climate control, powered and ventilated front seats, front and rear parking sensors, hands-free parking etc.

The 2020 Skoda Superb facelift comes with three colour options – Race Blue, Moon White and Steel Grey on the Sportline variant and five colour options – Moon White, Magnetic Brown, Magic Black, Business Grey, and Lava Blue.

The Sportline variant of the car which was also displayed earlier at the Auto Expo 2020 featured a blacked-out grille, boot-lid lip spoiler, sporty design 19-inch alloy wheels, dark-themed interiors, flat bottomed steering wheel and Alcantara leather upholstery.
