Volkswagen has introduced the new My Volkswagen Connect, an interactive sim-based connected vehicle assistant that has the power to transform regular driving experience into a connected one. The connected technology also protects and analyses vehicular data, not only bringing convenience but also safety to its customers. The brand has also announced that the state-of-the-art connectivity solution will be offered on the Polo GT TSI and Vento Highline Plus customers, as standard fitment.
The new My Volkswagen Connect can be accessed by plugging the dongle to the on-board diagnostics (OBD) port of the car and comes with a fairly simple user interface. The My Volkswagen Connect App can be easily downloaded from any smartphone and paired to any Android/ iOS device post a secure OTP exchange on the registered mobile number. The application instantly connects the customer with their vehicle.
Using the on-board diagnostics (OBD) technology and the sim-based dongle, the My Volkswagen Connect app can analyse an individual’s driving style which includes speed, braking behaviour, coolant temperature, acceleration and RPM. The app can also locate points of interests and reach out to customer care or Road Side Assistance, in case of emergencies. My Volkswagen Connect is also packed with connected features such as real-time location, Towing alert, geo-fencing, route deviation alert and SOS call among others.
The My Volkswagen Connect app can also be used to scan, upload and digitally store important vehicle documents giving the individual convenient paperless experience. The app can also be used to set reminders for vehicle insurance and has the capability to receive ‘over the air’ (OTA) software update. The advanced My Volkswagen Connect app is available with 3 years of free subscription and 3 years of warranty.
In other news, Volkswagen has already commenced the annual festive campaign, ‘Volksfest 2020’ which will run till the 15th of November 2020. Under the initiative Volkswagen India has launched the Red & White special edition on the Polo and Vento at an offer price of INR 9.19 lakh and INR 11.49 lakh respectively. The Red & White special edition is based on the Polo Highline Plus AT and Vento Highline AT and the special edition cars will be available without any additional cost to the customers.
