Written by Parichay Malvankar

Jaguar has revealed the facelift version of their smallest sedan, the XE. Dubbed as the 2020 model, the refreshed Jaguar XE will come to India towards the end of 2019 or by early 2020. This sedan rivals the likes of Audi A4, BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

This mid-life makeover adds some extra funk to the already stylish and striking looking XE. The brand claims that the car has taken inspiration from the I-Pace, which is the most advanced car yet.

The sedan has received a strong makeover with all-new bumpers, new headlamps, new tail lamps, new front grille, new air intakes, new alloy wheels and a dash of chrome or gloss black depending on the variants opted for. The all LED lighting on the XE is backed by snazzy looking 18″ or larger rims for a striking appearance. The headlamps are 12mm narrower than before, to add to a sporty appearance.

What’s interesting on the inside is that the new XE gets a gear stick instead of the rotary knob to control the automatic gearbox. Inside, the hard plastic panels have been replaced by soft touch materials. Optional quilted leather seats, 3 TFT screens, twist-console, clearsight rear view mirror, and more have been introduced inside the new XE.

The XE will also get a R-Dynamic variant along with the standard S, SE & HSE versions.

Powering the 2020 Jaguar XE will be the familiar 2.0L Ingenium petrol and diesel engines. The petrol will be available in 250 HP & 300 HP tune while the D180 diesel will produce 430 Nm of torque and promise 24.5 kmpl mileage.
