2020 Hyundai Creta bookings open, features & engines listed

South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer Hyundai unveiled the all-new 2020 Hyundai Creta in India at the 15th edition of the Auto Expo 2020 held in Delhi. While the SUV looked nearly identical to the Chinese-spec Hyundai iX25 new interior pictures revealed by the brand show that the interiors of the car are unique for India. 

On the interiors, the new Hyundai Creta gets a dual-tone multi-layered dashboard with black and beige treatment, contoured dual-tone seats, vertical air-con vents flanking the sides of the dash, a centrally mounted landscape-oriented 26.03-cm HD touchscreen infotainment with BlueLink, 8-speaker Bose premium sound system, driver rearview monitor, 17.78-cm Supervision Cluster with digital driver’s display, voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof, air purifier, a new-gen steering wheel with mounted controls and paddle shifters, automatic climate control with rotary knobs, ambient lighting, a chunky gear selector on the central tunnel with push-button start/stop, electric parking brake with auto hold, and push buttons for ventilated and cooled seats etc. The new Creta also gets a cooled glovebox, a 2-step reclining seat on the rear, rear seat headrest cushion, rear window sunshade, front and rear USB charging points, LED reading lamps etc. 

The all-new Creta is powered by a naturally aspirated BS6 compliant 1.5 MPi petrol engine that produces 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or an IVT (CVT) transmission. A BS6 compliant 1.5 U2 diesel engine that produces 115 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox or an automatic transmission. The SUV is also offered with a BS6 compliant 1.4 Kappa Turbo GDi petrol engine that makes 140 PS of power and 242.2 Nm of torque matched to a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). The five powertrain options come with three Drive Modes – Eco, Comfort and Sport and three Traction Control Modes – Snow, Sand and Mud.

On the outside, the all-new Hyundai Creta features a 3D cascading grille in chrome treatment, faux skid plate on the bumper, tri-beam LED headlamps, crescent-shaped LED daytime running lights, muscular wheel arches, puddle lamps, auto-folding ORVMs, a unique treatment to the C-pillar, 17-inch alloy wheels, rock guards on the lower parts of the doors, roof rails, rear spoiler, shark-fin antenna etc. 

The Hyundai Creta is likely to be offered with eight exterior paint options – White, Silver, Black, Orange, Grey, Blue, Red and Deep Forest along with two dual-tone options – White with Black and Orange with Black. The bookings on the 2020 Hyundai Creta has commenced online and in dealerships with the amount of INR 25,000 and the prices are slated to be revealed on 17th of March 2020 with the SUVs launch.
