After a long wait, Honda has finally introduced the facelift model of the WR-V in India, along with BS6 compliant engines. The 2020 Honda WR-V will continue to be on sale in petrol and diesel engine options, but there is no option of an automatic gearbox at the moment. The Honda WR-V is a crossover based on the Jazz premium hatchback, and has been one of the most successful hatchback crossovers in our market.

For easy and affordable ownership, Honda is ofering a 3 year unlimited kilometre warranty as standard on the WR-V and this can be extended further for 2 more years for a limited number of kms. Honda claims that their cost of annual maintenance can be as low as INR 4,000 for petrol and INR 6,000 for diesel with a service interval of 10,000 km / 1 year.
Powering the 2020 Honda WR-V petrol is a 1.2L, BS6 compliant, 4-cylinder motor producing 90 PS of power @ 6000 RPM and 110 Nm of torque @ 4800 RPM matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The brand claims a mileage of 16.5 kmpl for the petrol model. The BS6 compliant WR-V diesel has a 1.5L, 4-cylinder, turbocharged, i-DTEC motor producing 100 PS of power @ 3600 RPM and 200 Nm of torque @ 1750 RPM with a mileage claim of 23.7 kmpl and it is matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox. For the diesel engine, Honda has now added a NSC (NOx Storage Catalyst) unit for after treatment of the exhaust gase and a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) as well.
For 2020, the Honda WR-V comes with a new front grille, new front bumper, new chrome accents, new LED projector headlamps with DRLs, new LED fog lamps, new LED tail lamps, new 16″ diamond cut alloy wheels, shark fin antenna, new seat upholstery and chrome accents on the interior as well. Creature comforts include an electric sunroof, automatic climate control, digital MID, engine start / stop button, keyless entry, 17’7 cm touchscreen AVN system with DIGIPAD 2.0, etc.
