2020 Honda Jazz / Fit hatchback revealed

Written by Parichay Malvankar

At the ongoing Tokyo Motor Show 2019, Honda has revealed the new-generation of the Jazz / Fit hatchback. The 4th generation Honda Jazz which is now revealed is all-new and will replace the current model which we also have on sale in India. The new 2020 Honda Jazz will share the chassis & engine parts with the all-new City which is also expected to make a debut soon. Honda might consider to launch the new Jazz in India sometime in 2020.

The overall Jazz styling treatment is maintained. The hatchback is known for its space for passengers, and the body style confirms that the new model will also offer ample room inside. Exterior features of the new Jazz include projector headlamps, LED DRLs, front fog lamps, sporty front bumpers, chrome accents for the front grille, shark fin antenna, dual tone paint scheme, contrast painted ORVM with LED turn indicators, keyless entry, signature front & rear quarter glass, dual tone alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, rear wash + wipe, integrated spoiler effect, roof rails & body cladding for the CROSSTAR variant, parking sensors, blacked out B-pillar, etc.

On the inside, the biggest change is the full digital speedometer cluster, which has a colour display. This is unlike any other Honda car we have on sale, at least in India. Complementing this is a floating effect touchscreen infotainment screen in the centre console and below that is the climate control buttons which ditch the feather touch system we see in the current model. The 2-spoke steering wheel looks very good and the layered pattern of dashboard and dual tone interior trim also adds a premium touch. The 2020 4th gen Jazz will continue with multiple storage spots making it a practical hatchback. The 2020 Jazz / Fit will get a rear arm rest, 60:40 split for the rear seat and all adjustable head rests.

Honda will be selling the Jazz / Fit in Basic, Home, Nexx, Crosstar & Luxe variants in the Japanese market.

Honda is yet to officially announce the engine options for the 2020 Jazz / Fit, but we know that a hybrid engine is going to be on offer.
