2020 Honda H’Ness CB350 launched at INR 1.85 lakh for DLX variant and INR 1.90 lakh for DLX Pro

Honda has today officially announced the prices of their latest modern classic motorcycle for India, the H’Ness CB 350. The DLX variant has been priced at INR 1.85 lakh while the DLX Pro variant demands INR 1.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram, Haryana). The Honda H’Ness CB 350 will be sold in the premium Honda Big Wing dealerships and is ideally a rival to the likes of Royal Enfield Classic 350. The Honda H’Ness CB 350 DLX variant will be available in red, black and green paint options while the DLX Pro model will be sold in blue + white, black + silver and matte black +matte grey paint options.

To appeal to a wider set of audience with this all-new motorcycle, Honda will be offering a 6-year warranty package which includes 3 years of standard warranty and 3 years of optional extended warranty. With this, Honda is offering the legacy of the CB range of motorcycles to the mass market in India. With its old-world charm, the Honda H’Ness CB 350 is unlike any other motorcycle ever sold by Honda here in the Indian market.

Powering the Honda H’Ness CB 350 is an all-new, developed for India, 350cc, single-cylinder, OHC, 4-stroke, fuel-injected petrol motor producing 15.5 kW of power @ 5500 RPM and 30 Nm of torque @ 3000 RPM matched to a 5-speed gearbox. Honda is offering this motorcycle with an air-cooled setup only with a bore x stroke of 70mm X 90.5mm and a compression ratio of 9.5:1. The engine also has a main shaft coaxial balancer while helps reduce vibrations and the piston cooling jet helps in thermal efficiency management which as a result achieves higher fuel economy. The engine also comes with an assist and slipper clutch for easy riding.

The Honda H’Ness CB 350 measures 2163mm in length, 800mm in width, 1107mm in height, 1441mm in wheelbase, 166mm in ground clearance, 800mm of seat height, 15L of fuel tank capacity and a kerb weight of 181 kg. The bike rides on a half duplex cradle chassis with telescopic front suspension and dual hydraulic rear shock absorbers. Coupled with a dual-channel ABS, the Honda H’Ness CB 350 has a 310mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc brake. The bike rides on 19″ front wheels and 18″ rear wheels giving it a unique stance among other Honda two-wheelers sold in India. Giving it a modern touch, the Honda H’Ness CB 350 has full LED lighting.

Unique features of the Honda H’Ness CB 350 include a first-in-segment traction control kind of setup dubbed as Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). Riders can toggle between On/Off modes from the LHS switch gear and this will prevent the rear wheel from slipping which as a result can help avoid an accident or an unwanted surprise while on the ride. If the throttle and the tyre grip does not match, the HSTC engages and one can notice a ‘T’ indicator on the speedometer digital display.

The Honda Smartphone Voice Control system (HSVCS) lets owners / riders of the Honda H’Ness CB 350 connect their smartphone with the motorcycle via bluetooth and can have features such as turn-by-turn navigation, music controls, phone call controls, message notifications, weather update and more. All of this information can also be consumed by the rider via his / her helmet communication system.

The digital + analogue speedometer cluster of the Honda H’Ness CB 350 shows information such as trip computer, real time fuel economy, average fuel economy, range, ECO indicator, gear position indicator, battery charge status, side stand indicator, etc. The H’Ness CB 350 also has an integrated kill switch with starter button and below that one can notice the hazard lamp switch.
