2020 Harley-Davidson Low Rider S launched at INR 14.69 lakh

Harley-Davidson has launched the Low Rider S at the price starting INR 14.69 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The Low Rider S is based on the Harley-Davidson Low Rider but features a dark theme and comes with more equipment as well as sportiness as compared to the standard Low Rider. . Though the brand has not mentioned about the emission compliance, presumably the 2020 Low Rider S is equipped with a BS6 compliant engine.

In terms of styling, the Harley-Davidson Low Rider S features rounded LED headlamps with a headlight shroud that integrates a small flyscreen, teardrop tank with Harley-Davidson moniker, single scooped seat, chopped-off fenders, tank-mounted instrument cluster that features a 4-inch analogue speedometer and a 4-inch analogue tachometer stacked on top of each other along with a digital multi-information display. Also, the engine comes with a dark theme and is painted black with machine-finished cooling fins on the engine block and low-slung dual shotgun offset mufflers treated in black.

The Harley-Davidson Low Rider S is powered by a Milwaukee-Eight 114 series engine with a 100mm bore and 111mm stroke that has a maximum displacement of 1868cc. The 1868cc V-Twin air-cooled engine with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) punches out 93 ps of power and 155 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. 

In terms of the mechanical hardware, the Harley-Davidson Low Rider S features upside-down forks at the front with a reduced rake of 30-degrees as compared to the Low Rider’s 28-degrees, which gives the Low Rider S sporty and responsive handling. The cartridge-type inverted forks also claim to improve the steering input, road feedback and keep the front end firmly on the ground during cornering and braking. The Harley-Davidson Low Rider S comes with a Softail chassis and the hidden monoshock suspension on the rear gives it the hardtail appearance while providing a comfortable ride. The Harley-Davidson Low Rider S also features 300mm dual discs on the front with 4-piston fixed calliper and a single disc on the rear with a floating calliper on the rear equipped with dual-channel ABS. The Harley-Davidson Low Rider S is  2,355mm in length, has a 1,630mm wheelbase, 690mm of the saddle height and a ground clearance of 130mm. 

The Harley-Davidson Low Rider S comes in two shades Vivid Black and Baracuda Silver.
