2020 Harley-Davidson 1200 Custom launched at INR 10.77 lakh

Harley-Davidson has silently launched the 2020 Model Year Harley-Davidson 1200 Custom in India at the price of INR 10.77 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The motorcycle is 2,225mm long, 725mm in height has a 1,530mm wheelbase, 725mm of the seat height and a ground clearance of 105mm. The 1200 Custom features a classic power cruiser silhouette with black rims laced with steel spokes shod in 130/90 front and 150/80 rear tyres and a 1200cc mill shared with the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight and the Forty-Eight Special. 

In terms of styling, the Harley-Davidson 1200 Custom gets a rounded headlamp unit with chrome bezel, a black headlight garnish, a chromed upright handlebar for an ergonomic riding position, bold graphics on the fuel tank, black and chrome finished engine, oval air-cleaner, chrome finished timing cover, staggered shorty exhaust with dual mufflers finished in chrome, handlebar-mounted digital-analogue electronic instruments with speedometer, odometer, dual trip meter, low fuel warning light, low oil pressure light, time-of-day clock on odometer, engine diagnostics readout and LED telltale lamps. 

In the engine department, the Harley-Davidson 1200 Custom is powered by a 1202cc Air-Cooled V-Twin Evolution engine with an 88.9mm bore and 96.8mm stroke and a 10:1 compression ratio. The carburetion is through an Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) and the engine generates 97 Nm of torque at 4250 RPM. The cruiser gets a belt and pulley final drive. Though it is not mentioned on the Harley-Davidson website, however,  it is safe to assume that the engine is BS6 emission compliant. 

The Harley-Davidson 1200 Custom comes in four paint themes – Midnight Blue, River Rock Grey, River Rock Grey/Vivid Black Billiard Red/Vivid Black. 

In recent news, the brand announced that it will be retailing the Harley-Davidson Street 750 and the Harley-Davidson Street Rod at special prices for Armed Forces personnel and both the motorcycles will be available for sale from the Canteen Store Department (CSD) across India.
