BMW Motorrad has sent in the first impressions of the new BS6 upgraded and mildly facelifted BMW G 310 GS as the Adventure Tourer motorcycle rolls out from the brand’s cooperation partner’s Hosur production facility in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The BMW G 310 GS is one of the brand’s most affordable motorcycle in the Indian market and in its BS4 pre-facelift iteration the G 310 GS was priced at INR 3.49 lakh ex-showroom. The First Impression pictures confirm that the production is in full swing and the BMW G 310 GS will be available at BMW dealerships after its launch on 8th October 2020.

In the recent past, BMW Motorrad commenced accepting bookings on the new BS6 compliant BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS in India and later the brand also launched flexible financial solutions to encourage motorcycle aficionados to become a part of the BMW Motorrad world. The Easy Installment schemes are offered through the BMW India Financial Services and customers will be able to own the BMW G 310 GS with EMIs starting at just INR 4,500.

According to the first impression pictures, the 2020 BMW G 310 GS comes with a new LED headlamp cluster, slightly revised body panels with new cuts and crease lines, new body graphics with a new colour livery – Deep Blue with Matte Black with Silver body parts and Red accents on the body and the trellis frame, a Rallye badge on the front beak. But the underpinnings are likely to be carried over from the predecessor. The engine, however, has been updated to conform with BS6 emission standards.

Though the technical specification of the new engine has not been revealed yet the new engine is likely to be more Refined than before and come with a closed-loop 3-way catalytic converter system. The BS4 predecessor was powered by a 313cc, single-cylinder, reverse-inclined, liquid-cooled, four valves, fuel-injected DOHC powertrain that produces 34 HP of power and 28 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. Other features such as its mechanical part and the electronics package are expected to remain unchanged.

Full Pricing and technical details on the new model will be revealed on the day of its launch.
