So we all have known that a new & updated Yamaha R25 / R3 has been on the cards. While the bike was recently caught testing on international soil, here is a rendering image of how the motorcycle could look. The rendering is based on the spyshot, and you can still expect a few changes here and there.
Yamaha India recently launched the refreshed R3 in India at the Auto Expo earlier this year. The bike now gets ABS and more grippy tyres. The R3 comes powered by a 321cc, liquid-cooled twin cylinder motor producing 41.9 HP of power and 29.6 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. Hopefully, the 2019 Yamaha R25 / R3 will also benefit from a slipper clutch.
The problem now is, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 after CKD has a on-road price tag undercutting the YZF-R3. So Yamaha has to rework their pricing strategy for sure.
The 2019 Yamaha YZF-R25 / YZF-R3 will come with LED headlamps, new instrument console, new body panels and also Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology which we’ve seen on the R15 V3.0.
