We all knew this was coming, and Kawasaki at the EICMA 2018 show in Milan have revealed the 2019 Z400 naked sportsbike. Based on the Ninja 400 which made a debut in the Indian market earlier this year, the new Kawasaki Z400 with the Sugomi styling could be the replacement for the Z250 / Z300.
Styling overall though, is nothing extraordinary. Pretty much what we expected.
Equipment on the 2019 Z400 includes LED headlamp, LED tail lamp, floating tank cowl, digital instrument console, slipper clutch, telescopic front fork, rear monoshock, single disc brake at front and rear, split seat, small fly screen, full-size exhuast, black painted engine.
Powering the bike is the same 399cc engine from the Ninja 400. This motor which is a liquid-cooled, parallel-twin block produces 48.3 BHP of power and 38 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox.
With a upright riding position, the Z400 will be positioned as an urban motorcycle for someone who likes a fast ride for their daily commute.
