2019 Honda Activa 6G spotted testing, gets better suspension

Written by Parichay Malvankar

The prime source of income, sales and everything business for Honda two-wheelers in India is the Activa scooter. And seen here, is the 2019 Honda Activa 6G, most probably that is what it would be called when launched. However, finally the Honda Activa in 2019 will resolve the major chink it had in its armour.

Spyshots reveal that the new 2019 Honda Activa 6G will get a telescopic front fork. The front suspension of the Honda Activa has been horrible to say the least, and far inferior compared to competition. Finally, potential customers will get a better equipment this year onwards.

Other changes on the 2019 Honda Activa 6G include (revealed via spyshots) new body work, new digital + analogue speedo console, chrome accents, LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, alloy wheels, front disc brake, and the first time ever on a Activa – Start-Stop System. This start-stop system is seen on many cars and bikes, and it will work in similar fashion where the engine is shut off when the scooter comes at a halt, and as soon as the throttle is twisted, the scooter is ready to go. This will boost the fuel economy of the 2019 Honda Activa 6G.

This 2019 Honda Activa 6G will come with a 110cc, petrol engine which will be reworked for BS6 emission norms. The motor will now get fuel injection as well which will help it comply with the strict emission calculations. Fuel efficiency will also be superior for this model.

Expect the 2019 Honda Activa 6G to cost noticeably more for the top trim with all the features.
