We have been waiting for a very long time, and seems like Hero MotoCorp is finally gearing up to launch the Xpulse 200 motorcycle here in India. A successor to the Impulse, the Xpulse 200 was first showcased at the EICMA show in Milan in 2017. It has taken quite some time to materialize here on the Indian soil, and the launch is expected in April-May 2019.

Prices? We expect the Xpulse 200 to cost around INR 1.1 – 1.2 lakh on-road. Rally racer CS Santosh was seen riding the Xpulse 200, putting it to a test.

Powering the bike will be the same single-cylinder motor which we have seen on the Xtreme 200R. This motor produces 18.4 HP of power and 17.1 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed gearbox. We expect the engine tuning and gearing to be different for the Xpulse 200 for its on-road and off-road behaviour. The Xpulse 200 will get ABS.

The bike will feature a 21″ front rim and a 18″ rear rim, long travel front suspension, disc brakes, long single-piece seat, digital + analogue speedo console, 825mm seat height, telescopic front fork, rear monoshock, knobby tyres, high mounted exhaust, engine bash plate, LED tail lamp, round headlamp, and more…
