Manchester-based bespoke motorcycle manufacture Langen Motorcycles has unveiled the Langen Two Stroke. Yes, it is not a typing mistake and you definitely read that correct. The moniker itself reveals that the motorcycle has a two-stroke motor and despite the stringent emissions regulations, the company says that the bike is fully road legal. The featherweight two-stroke engine motorcycle has already made its debut at the Salon Privé event in Blenheim Palace, this week.

The Langen Two Stroke is powered by a 249.5cc Vins two-stroke, 90-degree water-cooled V-twin cylinder mill with counter-rotating crankshafts coupled to electronic fuel injection and ECU controlled two-stroke oil injection. The engine cylinder comes with a classic squared bore x stroke that churns out 75 BHP of power at 11,700 RPM and 45 Nm of torque at 11,700 RPM matched to an extractable 6-speed transmission unit. The Langen Two Stroke tips the scales at only 114 kg with oil and coolant, giving the motorcycle a power-to-weight ratio of 660 hp/tonne.

The Langen Two Stroke engine sits within an aluminium space frame chassis that rides on 43 mm ‘Right Way Up’ (conventional) Ohlins forks with compression, rebound damping and spring pre load adjustment. The rear suspension consists of twin bespoke Ktech Piggyback Razors with compression and rebound damping, spring preload and length adjustment. Stopping power comes from 320 mm twin double discs equipped with Twin HEL radial billet callipers on the front and a single 265 mm disc with HEL radial billet callipers on the rear.

In terms of styling, the Langen Two Stroke comes with a neo-retro roadster/cafe racer design language and comes with a rounded LED headlamp unit, bespoke exposed spaceframe finished in Gold, muscular Cafe Racer style tank, a high mounted tail unit, Carbon Fibre fuel tank and bodywork with hand-laid 24-carat gold leaf detailing, cross-spoke wheels and a 90s Grand Prix racer-inspired right-side and under-seat exhaust pipes. The motorcycle also comes with customisation options not just in terms of the styling but also the ergonomics.

The Langen Two Stroke will burn a GBP 28,000 +VAT hole in your pocket, to put things into perspective, the price converts to roughly INR 26.30 lakh plus taxes for a 250cc motorcycle. The brand announced that it will make 100 examples of the road-legal ultra-light track weapon that will be homologated for the UK market followed by another batch of 150 units, to arrive in 2022 that can be homologated in other markets.
