15th lakh Bolero Pick-Ups built by Mahindra in India

The Bolero is an icon in the Indian market, and now, Mahindra has announced that the Bolero Pick-Up has crossed the 15 lakh milestone. Mahindra has rolled out the 15th lakh Bolero Pick-Up from their Kandivali plant in Mumbai. The Bolero Pick-Up has been in the market for 20 years now, and it is a trusted workhorse in the commercial segment. As of now, one can buy the Bolero Camper Gold ZX, VX, Non AC, Camper 4WD and there is also a cash van variant for the banking sector.

Mahindra claims that their Bolero Pick-Up has been used across multiple applications such as agriculture, dairy, consumer goods transport, construction equipment and tooling, fisheries, etc.

The new Bolero Camper Gold ZX comes with a very car-like cabin. The Bolero Pick-Up in the twin cab segment has been a segment leader for over a decade, and has 63% market share in the 2-3.5 tonne segment. The Camper Gold ZX has faux leather seat upholstery, beige interiors with wood inserts, AC and digital speedo console.

In the Mahindra Pick-Up portfolio, you have 4 brands which include Bolero Pick-Up, Bolero Maxi Truck, Bolero Camper and Imperio which has replaced the Genio. Powering this iconic Bolero in the commercial segment is 2563cc m2DiCR diesel engine with turbocharger producing 63 HP of power and 195 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed manual gearbox and speed limited to 80 kmph.

With seating capacity for 5 and a loading capacity of 1000 kg which has been upped from 710 kg, the new model Bolero Camper Gold ZX is ideal for customers wanting to use this for business, as well as take their families out on the weekend. Comfort is not the best, but it is still comfortable compared to competition. This is a commercial vehicle also applicable for family use, and that is enough.
