The Elite i20 is powered by a 1.2L, VTVT, Kappa petrol unit producing 83 PS of power and 117 Nm of torque. The diesel engine is a 1.4L, CRDi unit producing 90 PS of power and 224 Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a manual transmission. ARAI fuel efficiency is rated at 18.60 kmpl for the petrol and 22.4 kmpl for the diesel.
