11 existing Harley-Davidson dealers in India join hands with Hero MotoCorp

Hero MotoCorp has announced that the brand has set-up a new vertical for Harley-Davidson in the Indian market. The brand has also announced that it has absorbed 11 existing Harley-Davidson dealerships across India. With the commencement of the new vertical Hero MotoCorp has also appointed Ravi Avalur as the business unit head who will be reporting to Dr Pawan Munjal the Chairman and CEO of Hero MotoCorp. 

Ravi Avalur is a renowned automotive expert and has joined Hero MotoCorp from Cooper Corp, an engine and automotive component manufacturer, where he played the role as the Head of Strategy and International Business. Ravi Avalur was also the Managing Director at Ducati India. Along with Ravi Avalur, the new vertical will also comprise of four other executives from the former company bringing in years of experience in its India operations. 

Apart from the 11 existing dealerships that the brand has retained, Hero MotoCorp has also announced that the brand will be expanding the Harley-Davidson India business by adding more dealerships in the near future on a pan India level. The 11 Harley-Davidson dealers are currently located in Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Bhubaneshwar, Delhi, Dehradun and Hyderabad. 

In the international market, Harley-Davidson also introduced its 2021 motorcycle line-up including the new Street Bob 114, Fatboy 114 cruiser, Street Glide Special, Road Glide Special and the Road King Special model created under the Special Vehicle Operations. The Harley-Davidson CVO line-up has also added Harley-Davidson Audio powered by Rockford Fosgate. 

Furthermore, the brand is gearing up to launch the Pan-America Adventure-style motorcycle on the 22nd February 2021 in the international market. It will be the first time the brand has taken the Virtual Route to unveil its motorcycle line-up. The brand will also be introducing new parts and accessories as well as riding gear and apparel at the H-D-21 event. For India, Harley-Davidson will be sharing details of new launches closer to their introduction.
