Yamaha launches YZF-R15 V3.0 Moto GP edition for INR 1.3 lakh

Written by Parichay Malvankar

Taking inspiration from their Moto GP racing machine, Yamaha have launched the YZF-R15 V3.0 in a Moto GP livery in India. This is a limited edition model and will be available for bookings online only. 4,000 units of this version are going to be on sale, and bookings have opened today.

The bike has been priced at INR 1.3 lakh ex-showroom, which is roughly INR 3,000 higher than the standard variant. And for the exclusive livery, this price bump surely feels justified as the bike does look rather good in this Moto GP avatar. It just highlights its race derived technology and overall package.

This YZF-R15 V3.0 in a Moto GP is obviously in a blue shade and gets Movistar decals along with other mentions like Yamalube & Eneos.

Powering the bike remains the same 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor with VVA producing 18.7 BHP of power and 15 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. ABS is not of offer, but Yamaha will launch a ABS version in 2019 for sure. Deliveries for this limited edition will begin from September, which is next month.
