Yamaha FZ-25 & Fazer-25 get Dual-Channel ABS, prices start at INR 1.33 lakh

For 2019, Yamaha has updated their 250cc motorcycles. The FZ-25 & Fazer-25 bikes now come with a dual-channel ABS system and bookings are now open. The FZ-25 has been priced at INR 1.33 lakh ex-showroom while the Fazer-25 demands a price tag of INR 1.43 lakh ex-showroom. While the FZ-25 is quite a good looking naked street motorcycle, the Fazer-25 is ungainly and ugly. Moving on…

Both the FZ-25 ABS & Fazer-25 ABS come powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor producing 20.3 BHP of power @ 8000 RPM and 20 Nm of torque @ 6000 RPM matched to a 5-speed gearbox. With the addition of ABS, the weight of both motorcycles has gone up marginally. But then, the bikes have become safer with ABS working on the front and rear wheels.

Both models, the FZ-25 ABS & Fazer-25 ABS now get a new dark matte blue paint option. For the Fazer-25, there is also another metallic black paint job on offer.

The dual-channel ABS addition on both the models has increased the prices by around INR 13,000. But it is justified thanks to the added safety. Apart from ABS, there is no mechanical change on the FZ-25 & Fazer-25 for 2019.
