World’s first superbike on sale with winglets – Aprilia RSV4 RF LE

Written by Parichay Malvankar

We’ve all seen winglets on superbikes racing in MotoGP and other motorcycle championships. But Aprilia, has now brought this to the masses. Aprilia has introduced the RSV4 RF LE production model which is a limited edition motorcycle. With only 125 units on sale globally, the Aprilia RSV4 RF LE is currently on sale only in North America. No further updates revealed about such a model being launched worldwide.

Based on the Aprilia RSV4 RF, the LE variant features winglets for better aerodynamics. These winglets are built out of carbon fibre and come from the Aprilia Factory Works program. The new winglets you see on this motorcycle are also paying tributge to the brands first championship win in 1987.

These winglets though rather than being more functional, are purely for aesthetics. They are here to look similar to the RS-GP race bike.

On the triple clamp handlebar, you can notice the production number – 1/125.

Powering the Aprilia RSV4 RF is a 999.6cc, V-4 cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke motor producing 201 HP of power @ 13000 RPM & 115 Nm of torque @ 10500 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox.
