UM to launch DSR Adventure 200 ABS motorcycle in 2019 for INR 1.4 lakh

UM Motorcycles is not doing good. That is a fact. Dealerships are shutting down, and we’ve seen it. However, the brand is still not giving up on the Indian two-wheeler market. UM Motorcycles is gearing up to launch the DSR Adventure 200 ABS motorcycle in our market. And this, when launched, will rival the likes of the upcoming Hero MotoCorp Xpulse 200 & Royal Enfield Himalayan.

Powering the UM DSR Adventure 200 ABS will be a 196cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor. This engine does not get fuel-injection, and produces 16 BHP of power and 16 Nm of torque. These power figures are not exciting at all considering the dry weight of the bike is close to 148 kg. Engine will be matched to a 6-speed gearbox.

The 2019 UM DSR Adventure comes with typical adventure tourer styling with a beak at the front. The bike will run on USD front forks, rear monoshock, single-channel ABS, front and rear disc brakes, crash guards, 14L fuel tank, tubeless tyres and the likes…

BUT! The big question remains. Who will buy the UM DSR Adventure 200 ABS?
