It is the time for EVs, in almost every segment of Indian motoring. One interesting, realistic, and very impressive product launch at the Auto Expo 2018 was the Flow scooter from Twenty Two Motors. Priced at a very sensible tag of INR 74,740, this is India’s first AI-enabled & cloud-connected scooter.

The Flow scooter (EV) is connected to the cloud server all the time, so one can keep track of their scoot even when away. Servers analyse the data & suggest whats necessary for the scooters maintenance. Also, the scooter aggregates riding data and delivers it on the touchscreen infotainment display. Owners can also make use of a mobile app to track details.
Another interesting feature of the Flow EV is that it comes with Geo-Fencing, to prevent theft. With this, if the scooter is being ridden beyond the set boundaries, the owner can shut it down using the app.
The scooter weighs 85 kg and comes with a DC motor powered by a Lithium Ion battery. This batter can be charged in 5 hours and offers a range of 80 km with speeds up to 60 kmph. Twenty Two Motors will also introduce a dual battery variant. Other features include telescopic front fork, USB charging & space for 2 helmets.
Twenty Two Motors is looking to roll out 50,000 EVs annually with an investment in the range of USD 70 million over a period of 2.5 years from their plant in Bhiwadi, Haryana. The first Twenty Two Motors experience centre will be opened in Gurgaon.
The Flow comes with front & rear disc brakes, electronic braking systems, digital speedometer, BLDC motor packs, 90 Nm of torque, 24L boot space, 100% LED headlamp & tail lamps, charging compatibility even with 5 amp plugs, 50,000 km warranty, drag mode to move vehicle at walking speeds if punctured, cruise control, reverse mode & SOS feature in case of an emergency.
