TVS launches Scooty Pep+ “Mudhal Kadhal” (First Love) edition at INR 56,085

TVS Motor Company has launched a new edition scooter for its esteemed customers in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The TVS Scooty Pep+ Mudhal Kadhal (First Love) edition exclusively for Tamil Nadu ahead of Pongal. The TVS Scooty Pep+ is priced starting at INR 54,475 ex-showroom, Chennai and the Scooty Pep+ Mudhal Kadhal (First Love) edition has been launched at the price of INR 56,085 ex-showroom, Chennai. 

The new limited edition Scooty Pep+ features a new special edition paint theme special graphics, a 3D emblem and Logo on the sides in Tamil script. Apart from the cosmetic changes the Scooty Pep+ Mudhal Kadhal edition remains unchanged in terms of its powertrain and the running gear. 

The TVS Scooty Pep+ is powered by a new BS6-compliant 90cc single-cylinder, air-fan cooled, four-stroke engine that produces 5.4 Hp of power and 6.5 Nm of torque matched to an automatic gearbox. The Scooty Pep+ features the ET-Fi EcoThrust fuel injection technology that claims to improve Mileage and Performance by 15% making the Scooty Pep+ one of the most economical scooters in the Indian market. 

Other features such as a 135mm of minimum ground clearance allow the scooter to traverse over urban speed breakers with ease and a 1,230mm wheelbase provides ample space and comfortable ride. The Scooty Pep+ comes with telescopic front fork suspension and a single shock absorber on the rear. 

Other features on the TVS Scooty Pep+ includes an aerodynamic front apron with body integrated turn signal lamps, LED daytime running lights, half-moon shaped headlamp, open glove box for storage, under-seat luggage compartment, luggage hooks, bench seats, grab rails for the rear passenger, 12V DC charging point, flush folding pillion footpegs, a generous footboard,  combination tail lamps etc. 

TVS recently announced the brand’s sales standings for the month of December 2020, the brand’s motorcycle and scooter division recorded sales of 1,19,051 units of sale for December 2020, compared to 74,716 units sold in December 2019 which is 27% of growth.
