It has been spotted multiple times out on the roads, and the testing process seems to be never ending. Multiple rumours have floated about what the TVS Akula 310 concept would be called when launched, and now, a brochure scan breaks all the surprises planned. TVS is planning to launch the Akula 310 concept motorcycle badged as the ‘TVS Apache RR 310 S’.
The branding is clearly seen in the images captured and there is no doubt about the final nomenclature anymore. Apache is the flagship brand for TVS, however, we were still expecting the Akula 310 to sport a completely new branding.
When launched, the Apache RR 310 S is expected to be priced in the range of INR 2 lakh, on-road.
Powering the bike is going to be an engine derived from the BMW Motorrad G 310 R. This 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor produces 34 PS of power and 28 Nm of torque on the German model. For the Apache RR 310 S, the engine is expected to be tuned differently to suit its sports touring nature.
Also seen clearly in these images is the ABS decal. It could be offered as optional.
Some more leaked details reveal Bybre 300mm 4 piston front brakes, ABS from Continental, suspension from KYB, ECU from Magneti Marelli.
