The TVS Akula 310 has been quite a common sighting out on the highways, but testing with camouflage. Now, a recently filed patent image reveals the production-ready design which would head out to the showrooms in a few weeks time.

The bike which will become the flagship model for the brand is expected to be launched around the festive season, which is either September or October 2017. The Akula will also be the only fully-faired motorcycle on sale in the TVS showrooms. Since the BMW Motorrad G 310 R launch is delayed further, many enthusiasts are looking closely at what the TVS Akula 310 has on offer.

The Akula 310 will be a sports tourer, and would be priced under INR 2 lakh, on-road.

Powering the Akula 310 will be a reworked version of the BMW G 310 R motor, which is a 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled block producing around 34 PS of power and 28 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox.

Are you looking forward to the TVS Akula 310?
