Written by Parichay Malvankar

Tata Motors has hit a home run with the Nexon compact-SUV. With customer bookings not showing any signs of slowing down, and existing owners proving to be happy with the product, Tata Motors has finally got it right to pen down a success story. The brand has now introduce a new feature for the Nexon, which can be had as an optional accessory.

Tata Motors is now offering an optional sunroof for customers who wish to install it. This can be fit on any variant of the Tata Nexon and has been priced at INR 16,000. Now, this is a cheap sunroof setup, so obviously it has a catch. This is a vent type only, pop-up sunroof module. This means it only pops-up to allow air inside for ventilation, and has no electric sliding function as you might have seen on other cars with as sunroof. This will only allow more air inside, and also, more light. Also, you have to pop it open mechanically, by yourself.

The Tata Nexon compact-SUV comes powered by two engine options. 1.2L Turbocharged Revotron petrol & 1.5L Turbocharged Revotorq diesel motor; both of which product a peak power output of 110 PS. Apart from the 6-speed manual gearbox, Tata Motors recently introduced an AMT automatic gearbox option for the Nexon.

The Nexon is undoubtedly the most stylish Tata car ever to go into production. It has all the looks and equipment, and hence, it is selling in decent numbers in the Indian market. The Tata Nexon rivals the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra NuvoSport & Honda WR-V.
