Written by Parichay Malvankar

Tata Motors with their new Impact 2.0 Design language are surely hitting the ball out of the park. Seen in the image above is the all-new and upcoming premium hatchback, the Altroz. Ahead of the official debut just hours away, an image has leaked which shows the car in all its glory, and in a very classy shade of metallic green, which kind of looks like blue in this image.

Seen here is the Altroz EV. This is the all electric version of the Altroz premium hatchback. However, for India, the Altroz will be launched with normal fuel options, petrol and diesel. When launched, the Altroz is going to be a rival to the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20 & Honda Jazz. So expect the pricing of the Tata Altroz to range between INR 6 – 9 lakh ex-showroom.

This image has leaked from the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.

A proper stylish and well proportioned hatchback, the Altroz reveals the following features:

  1. Dual tone snazzy looking alloy wheels
  2. LED DRLs around the fog lamp
  3. Fog lamp placed higher, just below the headlamp
  4. Expect LED projector headlamps
  5. Sculpted bonnet
  6. Strong shoulder line
  7. Flat front grille with Tata logo
  8. Shark fin antenna
  9. Light beige / greige interiors
  10. Dual tone interior trim
  11. Rear parcel tray
  12. Rear quarter glass
  13. Turn indicators mounted on ORVMs
  14. Sensors visible for auto headlamps and rain sensing wipers
  15. Adjustable rear neck restraints
  16. Bolstered front seats
  17. Wrap around tail lamps
  18. Integrated spoiler effect over the rear windscreen
  19. Blacked out B pillar

This is to be noted, that although this Altroz EV is a concept, seen in images here. The real deal, the standard Altroz hatchback will look just like this. And we know Tata Motors can pull it off considering how close the H5X concept and the Harrier look.

For India, the Altroz will be powered by the Revotron petrol and Revotorq diesel engine options. We expect these motors to be in the same state of tune as we see them in the Nexon compact-SUV. Also, AMT gearbox should most definitely be on offer. The Tata Altroz will be based on the new ALFA platform.

Do you like what you see? This surely looks good!
