Suzuki superbikes now cheaper, price cut!

Written by Parichay Malvankar

Suzuki Motorcycles have announced a price reduction on their big bikes, the Hayabusa & GSX-R-1000R. The reduction in the custom duties recently have resulted in this price cut. While the Hayabusa is locally assembled in India, the GSX-R1000R is a CBU import.

The new 2018 Suzuki Hayabusa is now priced at INR 13.59 lakh while the GSX-R1000R is priced at INR 19.80 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Suzuki is hoping that this price cut will result in higher sales volumes.

Soon, Suzuki will be launching the new GSX-S750 in our country. This will also be a CKD product, Made-in-India.

The litre-class GSX-R is powered by a 999.8cc, in-line four-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled motor producing 202 PS of power @ 13200 RPM and 117.6 Nm of torque @ 10800 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The Hayabusa is powered by a 1,340cc, in-line 4-cylinder, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled DOHC engine coupled to a 6-speed gearbox.
